Three Home Remedies for Hair Growth

Posted on

There are a multitude of home remedies for hair growth that can be used by men and women to stimulate new hair generation.

Onion Juice and Hair Growth

There are a multitude of home remedies for hair growth that can be used by men and women to stimulate new hair generation. For instance, you can opt for an onion juice treatment to stimulate hair growth. While the aroma can be pungent and off putting to some, onion juice has been shown to promote collagen tissue formation.

Collagen tissue helps trigger new hair growth, and you can use shallots or red onions to form the sulphur rich juice. To produce the juice, simply take 2 to 4 onions and grate the onions, followed by a firm and thorough squeeze to obtain the juices required. Next, apply the freshly squeezed onion juice to your scalp and leave it in for an hour. Afterwards, simply wash your hair with water and a mild shampoo.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Egg Whites, and Hair Growth

Another home remedy to stimulate hair growth is rinsing hair with apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar not only stimulates hair growth but also accelerates the process.  Furthermore, apple cider vinegar should be combined with water and should be used after you have shampooed and conditioned your hair.

Some people are also bothered by the smell that the after-wash concoction emits, so you can add a few drops of an essential oil, such as lavender oil, to help eliminate the strong stench of the vinegar. It is also important to note that hair growth is only possible with adequate protein.

Considering egg whites are rich in protein, massaging hair with egg white juice is a recommended natural remedy for hair growth.  Simply apply the egg juices onto the scalp and allow your scalp to absorb them for about an hour. Afterwards, simply wash off the excess liquids with water and a mild shampoo.

Potato Juice, Fenugreek, and Hair Growth

Potato juice is also recommended for men and women who suffer from hair loss, as it can help reduce or even eliminate hair loss by reducing hair thinning. Interestingly, potato juice is rich in vitamins C, B, and A, which help reduce hair dryness and brittleness. To produce the juice simply grate a few potatoes and squeeze the potato shavings to obtain the juices.  Leave the potato juice in your scalp for only 15 minutes, and then rinse off your hair with water alone.

Another age old treatment that promotes hair growth is fenugreek. To create the remedy you will need 2 to 3 tablespoons of the spice and a water filled pan. Begin by soaking the seeds for 24 hours and then strain the seeds afterwards. Rinse your hair with the strained water and do not wash your hair with normal water for 3 hours. Once three hours have elapsed wash your hair with lukewarm water. Do not use hot water. Repeat the aforementioned fenugreek treatment every day for a month and you will likely notice your hair not only gain strength but also volume.
